Techniques & Abilities

— Ki-Based —Jaki - An incredibly powerful, sentient energy source that was discovered within Cumber at birth. It is vastly more potent than that of traditional ki, rivaling genki with how heavy and destructive it is. Given that he’s had access to this his entire life, Cumber is insanely proficient with it, capable of masterfully manipulating the energy however he pleases. An additional, passive ability this unique form of ki grants Cumber is nigh-immortality, replacing any such body part that he may lose in battle (to include vital organs) with his ki in the event that he cannot restore it with magic. Even if his entire physical body is eviscerated, he will remain a humanoid mass of constant flowing Jaki, however in this form Cumber can only last as long as his energy does, which is not very long considering the sheer amount of ki it would take for him to maintain.Power Ball - Cumber can create a bright white ball of energy that when condensed and tossed into the air, will drastically expand on command and act as a full moon in order to stimulate the Great Ape transformation within saiyans.Corruption - If an opponent is bombarded with too much of Cumber’s Jaki at once, they run the risk of tainting their heart and being momentarily transformed into a bloodlusted, animalistic maniac.Soul Extortion - A hyper-condensed ball of pure black Jaki, which upon being fired at the opponent will extinguish any and all righteousness within even the purest of hearts, as well as incapacitate them. If they are at all evil themselves, it’ll simply act as another attack.— Magic-Based —Alpha’s Will: α - The techniques that draw from Alpha’s Will all involve telekinetics and the manipulation of invisible forces. Through Alpha’s Will, Cumber can telekinetically push, pull, grip, bind, maneuver, and deflect objects, projectiles, and other people. Cumber can also telekinetically control his own body for a number of purposes, and frequently does so to briefly augment his strength and speed, as well as to quickly hurl himself out of the way of any oncoming threats.Beta’s Shadow: β - Allows Cumber, utilizing a mix of Jaki and magic, to create a clone of himself, which he can use for various purposes. This ability is distinctly different from Multi-Form for a number of reasons, none less important than another. Beta's Shadow is more like an extension of the user’s body than a full-blown replica of them - this is made no more apparent by any one of its traits than the fact that it rests within the user’s body when dormant, and can be called upon without actually being expelled from the body. In other words, this gives the user access to an extra, retractable set of limbs and appendages that they can extend from anywhere on their body at any time they feel appropriate. A user of the technique essentially has access to four arms, four legs, two heads, and even an extra torso when needed, and they can extend these extra body parts from any part of their body they choose to. Furthermore, Beta's Shadow can split from the user’s body at their will, where it will thereafter become autonomous and require no further input from the person who spawned it. The doppelganger is tied to its creator in nearly every other aspect, however; while it can and will act on its own, it and its creator are a hivemind - they share thoughts, goals, and vision with one another. Additionally, their ki pool and life essence are linked together; if one exhausts all of their ki, the other will be unable to draw from their own ki pool. If one dies, so does the other, etc.Gamma’s Cloak: γ - Like the Kaioken, this ability seeks to amplify its user's physical capabilities over a short period of time. It incrementally multiplies the user’s ki depending on the level being used, and for a duration of no more than thirty seconds. Signs of Gamma's Cloak use are obvious and easily spotted; the user’s skin becomes white, their irises and pupils vanish, and they are cloaked in a veil of explosive black light. When the effects of Gamma's Cloak come to an end, the user is inflicted with recoil damage determined both by the amount of time spent using the technique and by how much damage was dealt to an enemy (or enemies) while under the effects of the power boost. Upon activation of it’s second and final level, Gamma’s Cloak manifests a literal cloak of white energy around the user. The primary purpose of this ability is to increase the user's speed and destructive power — this skill will not do much to bolster its user's defenses directly. That said, it can still be used for defensive purposes — for example, the user can amplify the force of their basic ki attacks and use that to nullify or deflect an oncoming energy attack — and it can also be selectively cast on specific parts of a person's body to reduce recoil damage.Delta’s Staff: Δ - Allows the user to summon and manipulate basic elemental forces such as water, earth, air, fire, and lightning. Each element is typically imbued with the caster's ki to increase its effectiveness, causing them to adopt a distinct color scheme based on the color of the user's Ki. In Cumber’s case, the elements he bends are colored red and are coated with a thin, black aura. The elements being controlled only ostensibly take the form of what they represent however; Cumber does not literally control flames or water, rather mass constructed from ki and magic that adopts the properties of water, fire, wind, et cetera.Epsilon’s Gauntlets: ε - The techniques that are enhanced from Epsilon's Gauntlets involve the most basic applications of ki, such as basic waves and blasts, magically supercharging them at no extra cost to the user.Zeta’s Greaves: ζ - This ability, like Gamma's Cloak, allows a person to augment their physical capabilities for short periods of time, though in the case of Zeta's Greaves, this can only be done for the purpose of travel or transport. The restrictions that this technique uses to define something as "for travel or transport" are relatively loose, so it is equally accurate to define the abilities given by Zeta's Greaves as abilities with the goal of temporarily increasing their user's speed in one way or another. They can be applied in numerous ways, such as teleportation, high-speed movement across short distances, and it can even be used selectively on individual limbs. Under certain conditions, these techniques can be used on other people and objects.Eta’s Shackles: η - This ability gives its user limited control over the concepts of merging and unification. This control comes in both physical and conceptual forms; in other words, Cumber can use Eta's Shackles to literally fuse things together or to create a metaphysical bond between two or more things, and anything in between. The ability to unify granted by this technique is not absolute and has many clear limitations in place, but it is by its own nature still incredibly useful and versatile.Theta’s Eyes: θ - Obviously, the abilities granted by Theta's Eyes are all ocular. This includes passive effects like enhanced visual perception and an increased field of vision, but comes with many active sub-powers of its own as well.Iota’s Crucible: ι - The powers accessible through Iota's Crucible are all alchemical in nature, and typically deal with directly altering the world or area around their user. These include things like transmutation, the ability to enchant items, the ability to brew potions, and various abilities that involve altering reality in bizzare ways.Kappa’s Chains: κ - This ability's various uses all involve applying the concept of suppression in some capacity.Lambda’s Brigandine: λ - Heavily augments the user's defenses in a limited variety of ways.Mu’s Hourglass: μ - Allows the user a very limited control over the flow of time, wherein Cumber can speed up, slow down, or even reverse it to a degree.Nu’s Cynosure: ν - Based heavily on both the Kai Kai ability of the gods and the Instant Transmission ability of the Yardratians, Nu's Cynosure grants the user a limited amount of control over space, allowing them to do many of the things they otherwise could not with Zeta's Greaves.Xi’s Ordinance: ξ - With this technique, the user can conjure a number of ethereal weapons and objects for use in combat.Omicron’s Authority: ο - Allows the user to bend a physical version of the concept of nothingness in various capacities.Pi’s Elixir: π - Allows the user to temporarily alter the properties of all other abilities they possess at the exact same time. This ability was developed strictly to complete Omega’s Judgement. If used on its own, it could erase everything in existence, including the user.Rho’s Conviction: ρ - Allows the user to heal injured body parts, whether they belong to them or an ally, and restore worn or broken objects to their original condition.Sigma’s Wings: Σ - Allows the user to magically transform their body in a variety of ways, causing them to adopt the traits of whatever it is they seek to transform into.Tau’s Sabre: τ - Gives a person a limited amount of control over the concepts of severance and partition. Despite its bizarre nature, this is one of Cumber’s most versatile techniques given what it can be used for. With it, he can accomplish a wide array of incredibly useful tasks, such as severing a person's connection to one of their own attacks (i.e. breaking Goku's ties with a Kamehameha blast so that he no longer has control over it), breaking seals, (for instance, he would have been able to rip the Elder Kai out of the Z-Sword without having to break it open) splitting fused beings into their individual components, et cetera.Upsilon’s Helm: υ - Grants a person limited access to various mental powers, like telepathy, astral projection, mind-reading, though the degree of control given to the user depends on the kind of application they have in mind. Cumber can use this ability to also manifest illusions and is free to decide who these illusions affect.Phi’s Tenor: Φ - Allows the user to temporarily apply the effects of other abilities they have access to, as well as utilize them in tandem. For the most part, this technique is passive, and comes at no cost to Cumber’s reserves.Chi’s Voice: Χ - This technique has both figurative and literal applications, and though both are distinctly different from one another, they each still draw from the concept of enhancing a person's voice. Not only does this give a person the ability to literally weaponize their voice, but it also allows them to place certain objects, creatures, and people under their control.Psi’s Tome: ψ - A technique that allows the user to alter reality in a number of highly limited ways.Omega’s Judgement: Ω - A technique utilizing applications from all twenty-three of Cumber’s previous phonetic abilities, capable of erasing anyone or anything from existence through its sheer force. This is typically used as a last ditch effort from him, as it takes a great deal of energy to pull off.— Transformations —Great Ape - Either staring at a planet’s real moon or an artificial one conjured through the Power Ball technique, Cumber can use this to become a Great Ape in any such condition, even while in the depths of space.Super Saiyan - Cumber erupts in an all-encompassing golden light, emerging in a bright form that boosts his power incomprehensibly. Because of his Jaki, Cumber’s transformation appears uniquely different from a traditional Super Saiyan, sporting the blood-red irises from his base form as well as his crimson-black aura.Golden Great Ape - While in Great Ape state, Cumber transforms into Super Saiyan, causing his usual brown fur to become golden. This transformation is exceedingly unstable in the sense that Cumber is incapable of controlling it for very long, unlike his traditional Great Ape form. Once he loses control of his faculties, so too does wider control over his magic falter, rendering him a threat to both himself and existence as a whole.Super Saiyan 4 - While in Golden Great Ape, Cumber regains full control over himself, condensing back down to his regular stature but radically different appearance-wise. His hair remains relatively the same length but drapes over his shoulders, he sprouts crimson-red fur all over, and his eyes become the same shade as in that of his Super Saiyan state, now surrounded by thick black liner/eyeshadow. This transformation is, as of now, purely theoretical, as Cumber has never found the need to even use Super Saiyan, let alone anything above it.He Who Burns Heaven - ? ? ?
